Several decades ago I photographed a tree on the coast that was the first photograph to sell at a show I had at the time. The roots of the tree were exposed because it was on the edge of a cliff that had been eroded by the Pacific Ocean. Thinking about that tree inspired this episode in which I talk about the importance of knowing how you stay rooted while growing up and out in a global environment.
