I want to start the show by asking a question: Did you watch the Democratic National…yeah, me neither! Not a single minute! And to be perfectly fair – and balanced – I won’t be watching the Republican Convention either, so it’s not a matter of partisanship. Well, now that I think about it a little more partisanship has everything to do with it, because as I’ve said before: Radical partisanship has destroyed all meaningful political discourse in this country, and to be honest – that’s pretty much disenfranchised me from all politics. I used to love politics, but there’s no middle ground anymore – it’s become, “You’re either all in or you’re all out. You’re either for us, or you’re against us.” No one’s allowed to deviate from the party line even a little bit, nowadays. If you do, your own party will call you a traitor, and the other party will call you a hypocrite. Whatever happened to conservative Democrats and liberal Republicans?
