Well, we don’t have the Astros to kick around anymore. Ha, that sounded like Richard Nixon there for a minute didn’t it? For those who are not old enough to remember, Nixon said something very similar when Pat Brown beat him in the California Governor’s race in 1962. He was addressing the press the day after he conceded defeat, and he said, “Well, you won’t have Nixon to kick around anymore,” and of course he was using that phrase as a pejorative, because he was bitter. He felt the press had treated him unfairly. Gee, that sounds kind of familiar, doesn’t it?
