The Alishan Forest Railway is one of Taiwan's few cultural assets with a relatively complete combination of humanistic and natural systems, and it is a typical example of cultural landscapes.
 
The Alishan Railway is the only railway system in Taiwan that combines a forest railway and a mountain climbing railway.
It is also the narrow-gauge mountain climbing railway with the highest altitude in Asia, featuring the world's most complex concentric spiral line and the largest altitude drop on a railway.
 
Coming to Alishan really relaxes people's mood, slows down their pace, and gives them more time to observe the surrounding environment and breathe fresh air.
If you haven't been to Alishan yet, it's definitely worth planning a 3-day, 2-night trip!
