American discus thrower MARCUS GUSTAVESON joins the show this week. The D2 Concordia St. Paul Alum finished a fantastic 2024 season with a 6th place finish at the US Olympic Trials with a throw of 65.39 on a broken foot. He has started the 2025 season with a massive 70.63m throw at the TCU Invitational on March 21st,2025. He is the first American man to throw over 70m since 1996 (Anthony Washington 71.14). Without World Athletics verifying the throw, Marcus has resolved to go out and do it again. He will compete at Throw Town Ramona World Invitational April 11-13th. Marcus' high school throws coach Dan McQuaid joins us for a very special conversation.
