Hey Clemson Family, Dabo Swinney and the Tigers easily cast N.C. State aside Saturday night by a 30-20 score that didn’t really reflect the magnitude of the win. It happened thanks to some quote Juice from coach Dabo Swinney and shows the in-season growth that’s been typical of the Tigers in the playoff era. And maybe the Tigers got a sugar boost from those Krispy Kremes last week because both sides of the ball played their most thoroughly effective football of the year and perhaps the best performance we’ve seen against quality competition since the 2020 ACC Championship Game win over Notre Dame. DJ Uiagalelei continued to shine and to show why we pegged him during the offseason as the clear starter over heralded incoming freshman Cade Klubnik. He did so again without huge numbers from Will Shipley, whose talent certainly drew respect from the opposing defense and helped open things up for the passing game. Tyler Davis, KJ Henry, Barrett Carter and Trenton Simpson kept the Wolfpack offense largely in check as Myles Murphy and even Keith Maguire also made key contributions. Clemson is clearly the class of the ACC’s Atlantic Division but will need to keep improving if they are to stay there, with three straight divisional opponents coming up on the schedule. Find out what looked so good about the Tigers against the Wolfpack – we’re glad you found us Clemson Family!
