Ep30: Black History Month And Those Quincy Jones Interviews

Listen Later

Welcome back to The Garbage Barge! Colin Anderson and Candice Chetta are going to go ahead and address all those white folks who go around asking if we need a “white history month” every time Black History Month rolls around. We’re going to spread a little knowledge around and talk about the long standing American tradition of forced labor, how the infrastructure and literal capital buildings and railroads were built on the backs of slave labor, and how you can be an ally and authentically participate in Black History Month if you are looking for ways. And then, of course, we HAVE to talk about Quincy Jones and these sloppy, messy interviews he gave this week leading up to the release of his Netflix documentary. What an interesting press tour it’s been! We’re also finally announcing our giveaway winner!
