In this episode, I chat with Paul Francis - bass player with The Paul Weller Movement in 1990.
In 1989, Paul Weller found himself without a band and recording deal for the first time since he was 18.
After taking time off for most of 1990, he returned to the road in Nov / Dec, touring as "The Paul Weller Movement" with drummer Steve White, Max Beesley (now Hollywood star!), Crispin Taylor, Jacko Peake, Damon Brown, Chris Lawrence and Paul Francis on bass.
Dive in to hear how it all happened - links with Galliano, Whitey, Mick Talbot and so much more...
Paul's time in the band was also captured live for BBC Radio, in a concert that features on Paul Weller Live at the BBC
We also chat about Capricorn 1 - an instrumental band project, built from the remnants of his days with Paul Weller, JTQ and Galliano and his musical relationship with drummer Harbans Shrih (JTQ, The Funky Muchachos) and Mick Talbot from The Style Council.
