Why do Thai people like to repeat a word twice? สบายๆ (sa-baai sa-baai), กล้วยๆ (gluay-gluay), etc. Find the answer and learn to repeat a word properly in 4 cases with examples.
In the Thai language, ไม้ยมก "ๆ" (mái yá-mók) always follows a word that needs to be repeated as a way to shorten the writing. Instead of writing สบายสบาย, we can just easily and shortly write สบายๆ. You can learn more about this "ๆ" and other symbols in my Ultimate Guide to Thai Reading course.
