Self-abandonment is often done with the intention of being a better partner, friend, or family member. However, this behavior actually hinders personal growth and deprives others of the opportunity to learn from their own experiences.
I share personal examples of my own codependent tendencies in various relationships, highlighting the different ways in which self-abandonment can manifest.

I reflect on how self-abandonment may seem like the right thing to do or a way to maintain control and certainty in life. However, this pattern of behavior ultimately prevents us from living the fulfilling life we deserve and desire.

I also discuss how self-abandonment can be passed down through generations, affecting not only the individual but also their children and how we are leading by example, as children tend to emulate their parents' actions rather than their words.
