In light of Mental Health Awareness Week 2020, I have dedicated a few of my podcast episodes to discuss topics around mental health.
Today I am joined by Sarah Dosanjh, a psychotherapist who goes by the name of 'The Binge Eating Therapist', and Author of the book 'I Can't Stop Eating.' Sarah specialises in eating disorders and not only has she trained professionally in this area but she has also experienced her own battles with Bulimia and Binge Eating.
In this episode we discuss how Bulimia differentiates from other types of eating disorders, signs to notice when a binge is more than overindulging, the triggers that could cause a binge and useful steps towards recovery. We also discuss and compare our experiences of Bulimia and our personal journeys from diagnosis to recovery.
Please note that this is a sensitive subject and we do go into detail throughout. If you have or suspect you may have an eating disorder, please consult your health care provider.
