Overt racism is one thing where people are open about being racist. You can at least avoid or stand up to them because you know who they are. And any of their "overt racist behavior" is no longer accepted in our society.


But here's something that can be more harmful to society overall than someone who is obviously racist: implicit bias. Yes, words are harmful, and obviously physical racist acts that contain violence in particular are terrible and should be punished severely.
