Jason presents some reasoning behind why you may want to increase your carbohydrate intake. 

There was a math error in the podcast. 5 mins at 350w is about 26g of carbs used rather than the 53g mentioned. Hopefully the point still stands that your glycogen stores will be depleted by a high intensity workout and needs to be replenished before your next workout.
