Today on the podcast I had the pleasure of speaking with Lauren Hayes! Lauren grew up heavily immersed in the equestrian industry (her father Jay Hayes being a two-time Olympic and Canadian Team member) with an extensive junior and national career as a professional. Lauren and I discussed the importance of willingness when it comes to equine partners, the differences in characteristics one would look for a GP level horse versus a partner for a less experienced rider. We covered topics like motherhood, work-life balance and feelings of self-doubt. She also shared her schedule as a trainer and the realities of working in a busy profession. I appreciate Lauren's perspective on many of the topics we spoke about in this interview and I know that you guys will get a lot of value out of it.
