Folks, check my previous episode to learn all about the experiences of someone fighting ill mental health and some of the amazing mechanisms and checks Mal has put in place to combat this and create a sustainable environment. This episode is very different. Today we talk with Adrian who is a therapist himself! He documents his experiences in his youth, including violence, verbal abuse, and neighbourhood acceptance of negative instances which led to an adulthood of emotional absence and dysregulation. We often find we try to become the opposite of what we dislike but it comes full circle and we become the very thing we fear. Here, we talk about reflection on our behaviour as Adrian mentions how he was emotionally absent and withdrawn in place of being violent, until he learned and understood what he was doing would end up causing just as much detriment as the physical impact he'd had to endure in his youth.

This is usually where I tell you to watch part 1 and 2 on my channel, however as a christmas gift I'll be giving you two whole episodes this month! Keep an eye out for the second mental health interview on my channel or on your podcast feed.
