No matter the situation you are born into, life teaches you to have someone positive to look up to and to aspire to be.   Once you identify that person, you are taught to emulate them the best way you can. We become followers as the process continues, and as we get older, the demands arise. For instance, life demands that you go to school, and it demands that you have to get a job. These things are important, and I realize that this is all a part of life's systematic process.  Break the cycle and BE DIFFERENT. Acknowledge mentally that having a role model doesn't mean you need to follow that person and be the next them.
