Happy Boxing Day church family! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas day, surrounded by loved ones and the presence of Jesus. This coming Sunday we are welcoming Matt Litow @mlitow to share with us, who is the Interim Student Ministries Director at the Western Ontario District of the PAOC.

As we come together on this second Sunday of Advent, we continue our Advent sermon series, “The Weary World Rejoices.” This week, we focus on the theme of peace. We reflect on the angel's visit to Joseph in a dream when he learned of Mary's unexpected pregnancy. Just as Joseph found peace by trusting God's guidance, we are reminded that, even in our moments of deepest disappointment and despair, true peace is found when we remember that God is always in control.

As we come together on this fourth Sunday of Advent, we continue our Advent sermon series, “The Weary World Rejoices.” This week, we focus on the theme of love. Our scripture highlights the specific gifts the Magi presented to Jesus - gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Yet, the greatest gift in this story is the gift of God’s love, offered to an unexpected group who, by society's standards, would have been considered unworthy of such divine grace. We will be reminded that God's love and grace are so all-encompassing that even those considered unworthy are welcomed and invited to be a part of his story

This coming Sunday we will be celebrating the start of the Advent Season by launching our Advent sermon series, ‘The Weary World Rejoices.’ This week we will be focusing on the theme of hope, and we will be reminded that even when things appear to be hopeless, God always keeps his promises. We will be celebrating communion this week as well.

This coming Sunday we are celebrating the third Sunday of Advent. We’ll be continuing our Advent series by looking at the account of the Shepherds who received the message that would bring great joy to all people. The Saviour was born! And even though life has its difficulties and hardships, we can find our joy in the birth of our Saviour, God’s perfect gift.

This Sunday we are concluding our fall sermon series, ‘A Jesus Centered Life’. This week we will be emphasizing the importance of curiosity over judgement. Curiosity invites us to come alongside others with a desire to see them, understand them, know them, and support them. We will be reminded that living a Jesus centered life means choosing to be curious, not judgemental.

There are a lot of realities in our world right now that cause us to worry. The choice before us is a life rooted in Kingdom priorities, where trust in God is our hope, or a life that is rooted in earthly priorities, where worry robs our joy. This Sunday we will be reminded that living a Jesus centered life means that even when life is hard, God’s care and provision are assured.

We are excited to gather together for worship this coming Sunday at 10am! We’ll be continuing our series by focusing on one of the Beatitudes found in Matthew 5, “blessed are the peacemakers.” And the goal for us will be to understand that those who bring peace and reconciliation follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

In life, a lack of proper priorities and focus can have serious implications. This Sunday we will be reminded that living a Jesus centered life means our greatest priorities are Kingdom priorities. We will be celebrating communion together this Sunday.

We spend a lot of our lives concerned with the opinions and the approval of others, and sadly our spirituality is not exempt. This Sunday we will be reminded that living a Jesus centered life means the priority of our faith is to bring glory to God not to gain the approval and admiration of others.
