James M. (Jim) Clash is a seasoned adventure and business journalist. Jim started at Forbes in 1993 as a reporter, and in 1996 was promoted to staff writer. In 1998 he wrote a pivotal story on hedge funds, warning investors of risks and expenses. When Long Term Capital Management collapsed six months later, Forbes ran a national advertising campaign "Business Reporting as Tough as Business Itself" about his story, and he was promoted to associate editor. His book "Forbes To the Limits" (Wiley, 2003) has received critical acclaim.

In June 2012, Clash's first eBook, The Right Stuff: Interviews with Icons of the 1960s was released. For many of us a deep dark cave sounds foreboding at best. Now put that same cave under water and then for good measure move it to one of the most remote places on earth. Sound like fun? Well today's guest thinks so. Jill Hienerth is a writer, photographer, filmmaker, and professional cave diver and she is a Davinci worthy of the best of them.

She has participated in the first 3D mapping of an underwater cave system as well as spelunked further and deeper than any woman in their field. She has consulted for major filmmakers like James Cameron and wrestles with giant icebergs before most of us have even gotten out of bed. It's no wonder she has been given a plethora of accolades and earned the respect of her peers.....Jill Hienerth. Jill Heinerth (born 1965) is a Canadian cave diver, underwater explorer, writer, photographer and film-maker. She has made TV series for PBS, National Geographic Channel and the BBC, consulted on movies for directors including James Cameron, written several books and produced documentaries including We Are Water and Ben's Vortex, about the disappearance of Ben McDaniel.

As a child, Heinerth was inspired by Jacques Cousteau's television series. In 5th grade, she gave a Science Fair project about mysterious disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle. She gained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications Design at York University, and ran a small graphic design agency in Toronto while teaching scuba in Lake Huron's port of Tobermory in the evenings. In 1991, Heinerth sold her business and moved to the Cayman Islands to dive full-time, honing skills in underwater photography. She then moved to Florida to work on cave diving, where she was mentored by documentary filmmaker Wes Skiles. She collaborated with his Karst Productions, based in High Springs, Florida.

In 1998, Heinerth was part of the team that made the first 3D map of an underwater cave. Heinerth became the first person to dive the ice caves of Antarctica, penetrating further into an underwater cave system than any woman ever. In 2001, she was part of a team that explored ice caves of icebergs where she and her then husband Paul Heinerth "discovered wondrous life and magical vistas" and experienced the calving of an iceberg, documented in the film Ice Island. In 2015, Heinerth participated in exploring the numerous anchialine caves of Christmas Island.

She consults on training programs for diving agencies, publishes photojournalism in a range of magazines and speaks around the world. Heinerth has written opinion pieces and articles about exploration and climate change for global publications including the Los Angeles Times. In 2020, Heinerth spoke with the podcast This is Love about diving in ice caves in Antarctica. Jill Heinerth is a prolific public speaker and educator represented by Speaker's Spotlight agency. In 2020 Heinerth was interviewed on many radio, TV and podcasts programs including the NPR radio program Fresh Air.

The chilling story of how an award-winning reporter stalked and planned to kill the man who raped him when he was a child is an off-Broadway play. David Holthouse, 41, was just seven years old when he was brutally raped by a 17-year-old boy in the basement of a family friend's house in Anchorage, Alaska. He first wrote of the attack — and his plan to get revenge more than 20 years later — for the Denver Westword alt-weekly newspaper in 2004. The story was later featured on the documentary radio program "This American Life." The play is called, "Stalking the Bogeyman,"

Today we have a freestyle Motocross rider, but not just any, Robbie Maddison is here today. How can I put this, Robbie Maddison is today's Evel Knievel. You will see him on ESPN jumping football fields or jumping up on a Las Vegas building, Olympic ski jumps, you even see this guy surfing on his bike. When I saw what he was doing I thought he was nuts but he's so calculated in what he does he's so professional in what he does, he definitely is the best of the best. I will guarantee you his x-rays look worse than Evel Knievel's with all the damage that he's done during some of his falls and we talked about that too. We talked about his injuries, particularly head injuries that can really affect people and lead them to depression and addiction. We also discussed using DMT. DMT told him that he could do the Las Vegas jump. DMT bought him back to his childhood got him through some traumas and also gave him the mathematical calculations to let him know that the Las Vegas jump was possible. Robbie Maddison is an Australian stunt rider, known as today’s Evel Knievel, who is famous for numerous record-breaking stunts including World’s longest motorcycle jump, World’s highest motorcycle jump, backflip jumping the open Tower Bridge in London, Corinth Canal jump in Greece, jumping down a ski ramp in Utah Olympic Park, riding a motorcycle on water, just to name a few. Movies: Skyfall 2012 (stuntman for Daniel Craig), xXx: Return of Xander Cage 2017 (stuntman for Vin Diesel), Crusty Demons: Night Of World Records (2013), On Any Sunday: The Next Chapter (2014) He started his career competing in national motocross and supercross events, but developed a passion for freestyle motocross (FMX) and entered his first FMX event in Bachus Marsh, Victoria, and ended up winning both the amateur and pro event. In 2004 he won Gold at the X Games at Australia’s Wonderland completing 13 backflips. In 2005 he broke two world records: The 125cc distance world record – 221 feet The 250cc distance world record – 246 feet with a trick (Spiderman seat grab) He has since gone on to be regarded as one of the best FMX riders of all time. He launched his bike off the jump at 71 mph, dropping 185 feet (about 18 stories, a world record) and landing, for a total length of 374 feet (114.07m) Robbie is featured in the Movie ‘On Any Sunday, The Next Chapter’ On January 1, 2009, live on ESPN, Robbie jumped his Yamaha YZ250 96 feet up onto the top of the Arc de Triomphe replica in front of Paris Las Vegas. He then dropped 80 feet back down to land safely on a ramp at ground level. He didn’t walk away from it completely unharmed. He tore the flesh between his thumb and forefinger on landing from the freefall, requiring 10 stitches. “A little memento to take away from the trip, a little souvenir.” Corinth Canal Jump On April 7, 2010, he jumped his bike more than 80m (278 feet) over the Corinth Canal in Greece. He needed a takeoff speed of 120 km/h to achieve it. Tower Bridge Backflip Jump On July 2009 Robbie jumped the Tower Bridge in London whilst the bridge was raised, throwing in a backflip for good measure. With a potential fall of 200 feet to the water below, it was a jump not to be scoffed at. There are plans underway for a Pipe Dream 2, which he plans to film as soon as there’s a monster swell off the coast of Mexico. Robbie Maddison’s water bike.
