In Matthew 7, Jesus told a parable of a wise man who built his house on a rock and a foolish man who built his house on sand. The house built on the rock was able to withstand the rain storms that came along, but the house built on sand collapsed in the storm. So, what’s your life built on? Is it built on something solid? Or something that will collapse when the storms of life come?

We all love new things: new clothes, new tools, new cars, new homes. But God wants to do something new in us, through us, and for us. Isaiah 43:19 says, "For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." Join us as we explore the new thing God wants to do in you.

This Christmas reflection takes an unexpected turn from traditional holiday joy, beginning with a child's Sunday school song and leading to a powerful lesson about deep-seated spiritual joy. Through a raw personal story of falling from life's peaks into canyons, it redefines joy as something far deeper than happiness—a divine strength discovered in broken places. Drawing from both James and Nehemiah, the devotional reveals how God's joy becomes most visible not in perfect moments, but through cracked and open hearts.

Merry Christmas! 🎁✝️
