Jacob is a digital nomad with family, and he and his wife, Kalli have it figured out. They began exploring the globe not long after marrying in 2008, and have been traveling ever since. Their son, Ryder was born in Mexico, and has enjoyed nearly 2 years on the road with his mom and dad. The Hillers are a true digital nomad family. They have lived on 6 different continents and in 30 different countries, and have created a system of travel and online income that works for them. I caught up with them in their temporary home in Tokyo, Japan, and we discussed where they've been, what they do to support themselves and how they make airport day a special day.

Being a world schooling family can mean many things to many people. Lainie Liberty knows all about it. Lainie and her son Miro are equal partners in their travels, and that's one of the main reasons they believe it works so well. Leaving their home in Los Angeles in 2009 in what was supposed to be a 12-month journey. Digital Nomad Family life is unconventional, but extremely rewarding. Sharon Gourlay and her family were essentially neighbors of ours for for a few months, her home a mere 15-minute drive up the northeast corner of Penang island, in Malaysia. Despite the proximity, Sharon and I didn't get a chance to meet face-to-face, as one of us was always working (usually me) or traveling (usually her). We have, however, been in touch virtually from time to time through various sites and Facebook groups, and I've been a fan of her family travel blog for years. In this Epic Education Interview, Sharon tells us about where they've been, what they've learned and how they are learning to be a digital nomad family.

Gap year family travel can be tough to plan, but life-changing once put in place. We met Katie, Danny, Caleb and Isaiah in central Vietnam last year.
