Ever wondered about the different problems that crop up when businesses go into a hyper-growth mode? And how entrepreneurs need to pivot as their organization grows beyond a certain scale?
On today’s show, we interview Ginger Frank, Owner, Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn who shares with us her distilled wisdom on delegation, growth, and scaling.
Back in 2014, Ginger, a divorcee with two single children was utterly frustrated with her poor work-life balance. So, she decided to do what any sane person would – as she quit her W-2 job to start her own popcorn business.
Starting from a single store in 2014, Poppy Popcorn is today sold in over 2,000 stores across the country. But this journey was a long, arduous one for Ginger as she had to deal with numerous teething problems as Poppy went through a long phase of hyper-growth.
On today’s show, you will learn the importance of giving up control.
Ginger particularly struggled with this aspect as her business grew from a one-woman show to a large, 30-person team.
Recently, Ginger appointed her mentor, John as interim-CEO so that she could step back and leverage her strengths by working on the things that she innately enjoys.
This is a show that you do not want to miss. Enjoy!
