Doug Barry is the founder and director of the Catholic ministry RADIX and has spent more than three decades traveling nationally and internationally to spread and defend the Catholic faith. He is the host of EWTN's Battle Ready, former co-host of Life on the Rock, and is widely known for his powerful one-man performance of The Passion of Christ.

Ken Darnell is Legatus Vice President of Strategic Development. Based in Coppell, Texas, Ken brings extensive experience in business, technology, project management, and strategic roles to his work with Legatus, where he develops new chapters, supports members and advances the mission of faithful Catholic leadership. A passionate advocate for integrating faith into business and daily life, Ken frequently represents Legatus at events, Summits, and outreach efforts. Ken is married with four children and seven grandchildren.

Tom is the owner of Katie’s Ice Cream in Dickson, TN. Named after his daughter.The shop opened in 2019.

They made headlines recently for adorning their white brick storefront with 10 flags bearing the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to celebrate the Month of June. The display drew national attention and widespread support within the Catholic community. The shop is known for making fresh, on-site ice cream and hosting a monthly Rosary club.

On Saturday, June 27, in Livonia, Pro-Life Michigan will be joining with Live Action to urge our leaders to permanently defund Planned Parenthood (PP). They can FUND themselves.

The one-year ban on federal funding for Planned Parenthood is set to expire on July 4th, and this is completely unacceptable.

Here in Michigan, we have already seen actual results from DEFUNDING! Last year PP was forced to CLOSE four brick-and-mortar DUMPS! And just this month, on June 12, Planned Parenthood of Michigan announced they are cutting their ‘education department’ and eliminating eleven positions.

This is progress we need to protect. That is why I’m inviting you to join us on SATURDAY at 10 AM in front of Planned Parenthood at 15707 Farmington Rd., Livonia, MI. Signs will be provided, but feel free to bring your own focused on defunding PP!

With only a week’s notice, please spread the word to your friends and family to share this on social media. If you live near a PP elsewhere, consider organizing a protest there.

Oakland University partners with Christ Church Cranbrook, other community groups, on $5 million ‘Faith in Detroit’ grant

Oakland University and its Center for Public Humanities (CPH) has joined with Christ Church Cranbrook, and several other community partners, on a $5 million grant to bring to life “Faith in Detroit: Building Resilience and Hope Through the Christian Practice of Storytelling,” a Lilly Endowment National Storytelling Initiative grant.

Oakland’s contribution to Christ Church Cranbrook’s four-year grant project will be led by Kathleen Pfeiffer, Ph.D., professor of English and Creating Writing and associate director of OU’s Center for Public Humanities.

The Reverend Dr. William J. Danaher, Jr. was called to serve as the 8th Rector of Christ Church Cranbrook in September of 2014. He came to Christ Church Cranbrook after serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Theology at Huron University College, in London, Ontario. He also served as Theologian in Residence at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, Ontario.Known as Father Bill to many, William Danaher is a gifted and award-winning preacher and published author. Since being ordained in 1995, he has served parishes in New Haven, New York City, Sewanee (TN), and London, Ontario. He also served as the Canon for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations for the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan from 2015-2017.
