For hundreds of thousands of musicians, audio engineers, producers, and scores of music industry support staff, the world has come to a screeching halt.

For the vast majority of them, being out-of-work means not receiving a paycheck of any sort. Even for musicians who are members of the AFM (musicians’ union), there is apparently no help coming to save them from a global economic crisis that is in full effect at this very moment.

No one is immune to the effects that the coronavirus is having on the music industry and the world at large.

Over the course of three podcasts, Brian Stephens talks candidly about the struggles he is having during this time and offers up some of the ideas & solutions he is pursuing in an attempt to salvage his business and maintain his sanity.

Here in Part 1, Brian offers some strategies for utilizing this new, possibly unwanted, “free time” that help you maintain your creative flow, take care of the life that is going on immediately around you, stay connected to friends and colleagues, and plan for what comes next in a world that will never be the same after this crisis is resolved.
