No stranger to techno is the ominous figure emerging onto the front from the western Canadian city of Calgary. Taking influences from the European scene while studying sound design and engineering in London, his obsession of heavy, well-crafted music has led him to develop his own form of relentless techno. These refined tastes are expressed through his electric DJ sets, which he saw massive recognition for by placing 1st in the 2014 DTE DJ competition. Traversing a vast soundscape of carefully selected tracks from atmospheric pieces to raw, industrial cuts, his performances will leave you floored and wanting more. Intellekt is the alias projected from Brandon Chapman that demonstrates the different artistic styles and characteristics of his previous names into one. The result is hard hitting techno productions and collaborations with established artists that are being played by international DJ’s around the world. Having signed his first EP “Altered State” to the Italian label Funghettocrew, Intellekt was also asked to remix Norwegian artist Frantzvaag for Avia Records. Undoubtedly at the beginning of his career, this young producer has nowhere to go but up as he grounds his position as a force to be reckoned with.
