On behalf of all pre-pandemic homeschoolers I would like to declare, this is NOT HOMESCHOOL. I repeat, this is not homeschooling.

School-at-home and pre-pandemic homeschooling are not the same. All children need interaction and socialization. Today we put our heads together for some real talk and tips on how to navigate what school has become in light of COVID-19.

Coronavirus has literally shaped the way we see and do schooling. It has turned us all into device-dependent maniacs with more zoom meetings then we ever wanted in a lifetime.

We talk through the reality of the situation and discuss ways to beat the boredom, work with teachers, and bring children peace and routine at home.

Our family relationships have become very burdened. Navigating what it's like to have to work, school and mother ALL AT THE SAME TIME. We each have learned different lessons in the pandemic, and I know you have too. Let’s chat and solve some problems together.

We will discuss setting up a school room, finding a rhythm, learning in a family environment. We will talk a lot about extending grace to yourself, your children and to teachers and partners.

This is an opportunity to get to know your children in a different way and show

them that they are unique and capable. No one's gonna love them the way you do. The most well-meaning teacher doesn't know your child like you do and isn’t able to take the time and attention with them that you can. Cease the day!

Also, my favorite part of this episode is how to integrate faith into the daily routine and learning rhythms to help children have the discipline of connecting with God on their own and developing a personal relationship with him.
