Today's Ricoisms

Treat your team as your "internal" clients.

Understand your team's natural communication tendencies and adjust to it to create a comfort zone in which you can communicate clearly. Once you've created this comfort zone, you can effectively improve the perceived value of what you are saying.

4 Regions of the Client Nation (think about which of your team members would come from which region) - Common questions members of these regions ask:

  1. The Dominant Region - What's going on here, why is this important
  2. The Interactive Region - Who else is here?
  3. The Steady Region - How do we do this?
  4. The Calculating Region - Why are we doing this?

Your pace of communication determines which members of your team you connect most to.
