Episode 01: The Hardest Thing About Getting Started, Is Getting Started
Hi, we're Sam (33) & Harry (25) Taggart – brothers from South Philadelphia, although Sam is currently located in Istanbul. The past few months have been a challenge, but also they've brought us closer together in a way. Thanks to technology, we've been talking more and helping each other through some real moments, & recently we decided to start a podcast – something we've thought about for a long time. In our first episode, we started with sports, which is a natural place for us, and tied in the pandemic, Black Lives Matter, other social and societal issues, and a few other subtopics. (It's eclectic!)
It's not perfect or nearly perfect – we talked too fast, Harry talked too much, Sam got a little nervous here & there, we weren't as eloquent on some of the points we wanted to make as we wanted to be, in some ways we did too much preparation and in other ways too little, we didn't ask each other enough questions, we maybe started to fade a bit at the end – but we decided to post it anyway because it's real & authentic & there's too much perfectionism out there these days. I mean, Harry even forgot the name of the podcast at the end. (Note: We only edited out a few times where we stumbled or where we paused to talk about the direction of the conversation.)
Thank you for taking the time to listen & we'd love to hear your thoughts. We will get better – or we won't. But we'll keep trying.
