After a busy weekend, Harry returns with the third installment of the new 'Everyday Empowerment!' series, this time to share the music & messages of the late legend, David Bowie, aka Ziggy Stardust, & his hit 'Changes'. The resonating theme of facing changes in life, & the idea that in order to be something different we must do things differently than we have before, combine together to encourage taking ownership of how exactly we are going to change within our own unique lives, since change itself, is inevitable. Choose your change!
Peace & Love,
Sam & Harry
In the wake of all the recent buzz around the song 'Dreams' by Fleetwood Mac (played on a previous pod), Harry decided to share another classic hit from the all-time great band, this time with their song 'Landslide'. The lyrics are reflective on the pains of love & life, & the doubts we all face in growing up, both written & sung beautifully by the legendary lead woman, Stevie Nicks. Every human in every era faces pain & doubt, so try to remember this when you feel down, & know that you are not alone, nor the problem. Hurdles can be high, but we can rise above them all!
Peace & Love,
Sam & Harry
Harry returns with a re-brand of the 'Daily Positivity!' series in this first episode of the new 'Everyday Empowerment!' Sam & Harry felt that the title change was a good choice, as each episode & message is not purely about being positive, although Harry speaks to the importance of practicing positivity in this one. The more appropriately titled re-launch will continue in mostly the same ways, but without that pressure of positivity, & instead with an expectation of reminders & prompts to spark those feelings of self-esteem & control that we sometimes lose sight of in our daily lives. With the recent passing of legendary rockstar & 'Van Halen' lead guitarist, Eddie Van Halen, Harry decided to pay homage to the music great by using the band's song 'Jump' as the music for this episode, & the opening lyrics provided more than enough positivity & empowerment to drive the rest. Don't let anything get you down, don't give up before you get to where you are meant to be, & take the leap (Might As Well Jump)!
Peace & Love,
Sam & Harry
Harry plugs the previous episode (28), as he & Sam were able to connect again for another eclectic convo that they think everyone will enjoy, & then he keeps the focus on the song choice of the day, 'Say Something - Zac Samuel Remix' by Karen Harding. The beat is uplifting & groovy, & the emphasis of the vocals on the simplistic lyrics, demanding communication, adds to the empowerment of the song overall. Say what you've been holding in, to everyone, especially yourself!

Sam & Harry are back together again after a long hiatus in which Harry (with a bit of Sam) has been delivering daily bits of positivity. We hope you've enjoyed that series, but we're also super excited to be putting this collaborative episode out. We decided to have a little fun with it, choosing five topics – cereal, least favorite sports teams, fruit, cities we've been to, and ice cream – and separately built out our top five lists in each category. Then we blindly revealed them to each other on-air. We had a lot of fun recording this episode and hope you enjoy listening to it just as much.
Peace & Love,
Sam & Harry
Harry shares a song called 'On The Regular' by Polyester the Saint & Dom Kennedy, & connects the classic SoCal hip-hop sounds of the beat & vocals to the cool confidence of the lyrics, & an amazing quote from legendary poet, author, & activist, Maya Angelou, speaking about how life is meant to be lived, & lived well at that!
Peace & Love,
Sam & Harry
Harry speaks on themes of personal pleasure & loving others from the song ‘Feel Good Inc.’ by the famous virtual band, Gorillaz, & gives a little context about the artists, as well. He then connects these themes to a quote from renowned African-American philosopher, theologian, educator, & civil rights leader, Howard Washington Thurman, on doing what makes us come alive, because that’s what the world needs most.
Peace & Love,
Sam & Harry
Today, Harry riffs (& rants) about committing to being the complex humans that we all are. While enjoying some of the new music that was released across the world today, specifically that of 21 Savage & Metro Boomin (s/o Blackpink as well), Harry felt inspired to express himself & talk about being multi-faceted individuals, encouraging everyone to avoid looking for labels when finding ourselves. What's understood don't gotta be explained (& theres too much to you to be defined anyway)!
Peace & Love,
Sam & Harry
