This is part 2 of a 2-part series called “Money & Me” where we dive into the world of our money stories. These are the narratives that define our relationship and perspective on money, encompassing our upbringing, experiences, influences, and attitudes towards money.

Crafting a new collective story is often overlooked in our individualistic society where the mentality of “I do me” and “you do you” prevails and is often carried into marriage. This is particularly true when it comes to money. Whilst it’s important that each individual is able to express and be who they are, we must not to under estimate the power and importance of crafting a shared narrative together, particularly in a marital relationship where, as cliché as it sounds “two becomes one”.
