We learned at the beginning of the episode that the Swift of the week “Cruel Summer” was not only the one Sam has always been waiting for, it also is unfortunately close to home for Sam as he revealed being in breakable Hell with a broken foot for the summer and Era’s Tour. It’s blue, the feeling he’s got about it, but it’s also cool because Cruel Summer is his number one song, that’s what he tells us. We try not to screw it up in these trying times that we’re trying to understand what summer was Taylor singing about and which guy was the bad bad boy. We screamed for whatever it’s worth, the entire bridge just because we love it, and you might think our singing is the worst thing you ever heard. It’s fine. Even if it isn’t true.
