Less than eight years after packing up her bags to to leave her hometown of New York City for a new life in Washington, D.C, Tara Algios (a.k.a the DJ and producer Jett Chandon) has cemented herself as one of the hardest working artists in the city’s competitive, ever-evolving scene. As a DJ, Algios found a home as a resident DJ at the world-renowned warehouse party ROAM, where she’s helped organize some of the most forward-thinking events in the region, and shared the decks with some of the industry's most skilled selectors like Helena Hauff, Objekt, DJ EZ, Volvox, and Anthony Parasole. Always looking to push her own boundaries and lean into challenges, she recently became a resident DJ and organizer at a second roaming club night in D.C, the experimental bass-driven all-nighter L.E.N.G, as well as a quarterly night at Brooklyn’s audiophile-haven Jupiter Disco, called Echo Response. Jett Chandon’s dynamic approach to DJing, promotion, and production, nods to her background in the difficult corners of music and professional performance. As a classically trained musician, her background shifted through a variety of industries and scenes before she found her home in America’s electronic underground. She soon hit the ground running with a goal to inspire uniqueness and individuality in her music and DJing, themes that have made their way into her genre-spanning musical productions, and long-awaited debut EP Julia.
