Signature Cocktail: NY to Montenegro

Uptown classy or downtown badass… get you a drink that can do both..

1 1/2 oz bourbon
1/2oz Amaro Montenegro
3/4oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
3/4oz lemon juice
1 egg white
2-3oz fruit-forward red wine, such as Shiraz or Malbec
Combine bourbon, amaro, lemon juice and simple syrup in a shaker, add egg white and shake vigourously without ice until emulsified. Add ice and shake again. Strain into an old fashioned glass with one or two large ice cubes, and top up with red wine, pouring over the back of a spoon.
