Episode 6 - Income Disparity

When Australia’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) released their gender pay gap report on 27th of February 2024 it sparked a lot of discussions around gender pay gap & income disparity.

But that's only half the story, there is often the hidden side of income disparity that no one sees, often goes unnoticed and not talked about.

Income disparity in relationships; where one party earns more than the other and, in some cases, where one partner is the sole bread winner and the other partner does not have any income at all. This is often the case when women decide to have children. The affect that this can have on many relationships often remains behind closed doors and not talked about in the public.

In this episode we aim to lift the lid on that as we tackle this often very private subject head on by looking at income disparity in our relationship and how it has affected our relationship but also what we've done to address this prickly situation.
