We dive into the ongoing challenges of staying ahead of the constantly increasing curve of multiprocessors, multicore load balancing and low latency DAW performance. We detail some cool patented new features in that area, and also cover some recent issues associated with MMCSS thread limiting , that highlighted that not all developers have the same dependencies and/or challenges when dealing with that level of processing. We also weigh up the pro's and cons of the various cross platform driver protocols, and much, much more.
