Welcome to the first episode of Vista: Unified, the podcast spotlighting the people, programs, and possibilities of the Vista Unified School District.

On this episode, we talk with several recipients of the 2024 Heroes of Vista Award, a tradition in Vista hosted by The Vista Chamber of Commerce and the Vista Education Foundation.

You'll hear from Veteran of the Year Colonel (Ret.) Vincent Lostetter, who leads Vista High School's award-winning Air Force Junior ROTC program, Dave Shaputis, the Plant Lead at Bobier Elementary School and winner of the Classified Person of the Year Award, and Carol Oliver from Major General Murray High School, who was honored as the Health Care Person of the Year.
