On this debut episode of my new podcast, What Would You Tell Her? I interview the woman who showed me how to live in this beautiful, complex world. My mother, Diane Kendall, joined me on my 50th birthday to share some of the events and experiences that have shaped and informed her parenting, partnering and artwork. Diane shares some of experiences of being married to my biological father. She, bravely, speaks to what made her take my sister and I and leave. We go down memory lane as we talk about how she met my father and how we became a family of five in Albuquerque, New Mexico. My mother and I share our thoughts on child rearing and how my children, Abigail, Jack and Sophia are impacted by generations of bossy, first born women.  I am so grateful to my mother for being vulnerable and transparent in hopes to share wisdom with the listeners. On a personal note, there are many, many people that got me to this place and I would remiss if I didn't express my overwhelming gratitude.
