Join Elysabeth Alfano on this kick-off show which talks about all things plant-based. After breaking down the plant-based headlines (fires, bankruptcies and the debut of meatless pork), Elysabeth sits down with renowned voiceover actress Lori Alan (“SpongeBob SquarePants” and “Toy Story; bio below) to dish on her inspiring tale of finding her way to plants . . . and Pixar! Then, these two “meatless-hams” serve up recipe, snack and on-the-fly cooking tips.

Lori Alan is perhaps best known for her award-winning voiceover work. She stars on the Emmy Award-winning “SpongeBob: Squarepants” as Pearl Krabs, is the voice of Diane Simmons on “Family Guy,” and can be heard in “The Boss in the Metal Gear Solid” video game trilogy. She’s proud to be a part of the Academy Award-winning Pixar family, voicing characters in “Wall-e,” “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” “Monster’s University,” “Inside Out,” “Bonnie’s Mom,” “Toy Story 3” and “Toy Story 4.” On camera, you can catch her in Showtime’s “Shameless” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”
Lori’s animal activism started when she become aware of the horrific dog and cat meat trade. Happily not eating animals or animal products, she supports the Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM), a national nonprofit organization working to end the use of animals for food through public education and grassroots activism.
