Tits and Tea

Episode 1: The Radium Girls

Listen Later

In our first ever episode of Tits and Tea we learn about the discovery of radium by the awesome Marie Curie, it's uses and it's dark side in the tragic story of the Radium Girls. This week's tea of choice leaves us with tingling tongues and differing tastes. Hope you enjoy! Please visit our instagram @TandTeapodcast to see the show images as discussed in the episode.
After the episode we discovered there is a memorial statue for the Radium Girls. The bronze is a young woman holding a tulip in one hand and a paintbrush in the other and we have displayed it on our Instagram feed. It is situated on the NW corner of Clinton and West Jefferson Streets in Ottawa, Illinois should you wish to visit.
Show Notes:
This week's tea is: Green Tea with Thyme, brew in hot water for 3 minutes, (add honey/sweetener to taste)
