Welcome to the very first episode of my cultural exploration podcast. I am your host, Eny. I’m Hungarian and I was born in Transylvania. I wasn’t aware of how cool it sounded (being from Transylvania) until I moved here to the States and saw the looks on people’s faces after I told them where I was from. Some were surprised I dared to come out in the daylight, others were secretly looking for fangs in my mouth, and there were people who didn’t even believe my story because they were convinced that Transylvania is not a real place, just a fictional one.

So as your host, I found it appropriate to start my journey of cultural exploration with my own birth place. I asked two of my close friends,Tundi and Robert – who were also born and raised in the wonderful land of vampires-  to share their personal stories and memories with you & me.
