Oh I met a man in Cleveland, north of Akron they say, In September by the way, it was a beautiful day, He’d come from Cincinnati, by the usual way, And stopped off there in Springfield for a bite

Unsure of the menu, he walked up to the crowd, Which was previously loud, went silent no sound, Twenty thousand hungry Haitians, all turned to him and said, Get that man between two slices of bread!

He burst out through the backdoor, found a bike and pedaled fast, Left the fair in the past, swore that meal would be his last, Now he tells his tale in Cleveland, warns of Springfield’s Haitian streets, Where the polka plays but no one stays to eat!
