I have struggled with people-pleasing tendencies since I was a child, and it wasn't until a few years ago that I learned the term "people-pleaser" and dove into the meaning behind it that I realized that, oh shit...that's me. (el-oh-el)
Making sacrifices and showing up for the people that we love is a must.
But when you are repeatedly saying yes to things that are negatively affecting you in order to show up for someone else, is this helping or hurting?
There is a balance that must be found.
You can't truly be there for someone else if you aren't taking care of you, first.
