It’s the first episode of Peter Capaldi’s final season. The Doctor has been a University Professor for decades and attracts the attention of Bill Potts. She’s not a student but attends The Doctor’s lectures anyway because they are so good. Of course, The Doctor notices her and agrees to be her tutor.

Bill also meets Heather, who she develops an attraction to. Heather has an obsession over a strange pool of water (that is definitely not a Pond), but she leaves before Bill can ask what’s wrong with it. Bill tells The Doctor and they begin to investigate who Heather is and what is so odd about the pool of water. Also, Bill secretly follows The Doctor and his peculiar friend Nardole who seem to have a secret kept in a mysterious vault.
