Episode 101: CERN and the Abyss

CERN: The European Organization for Nuclear Research

Large Hadron Collider: The world’s most powerful particle accelerator in Geneva, Switzerland. Particles race around a 17 mile underground circular track at nearly the speed of light guided by a series of superconducting magnets. Researchers smash particles together to recreate the conditions that occurred one/billionth of a second after the “big bang.” It is the largest scientific instrument ever created.

The result could create new particles never seen before to answer certain questions:

1 Why do objects have mass?

2 What is dark matter?

3 Find other dimensions of time and space

Main objective is to find out more about how our universe works.

Find an extra-spatial dimension or “wormhole” to make interstellar travel possible

Create a microscopic black hole to investigate gravity’s effect on time, etc.

Discover hidden “forces” that we don’t currently have access to in this “dimension”

Hell: Greek tartaroō - the name of the subterranean region, doleful and dark, regarded by the ancient Greeks as the abode of the wicked dead, where they suffer punishment for their evil deeds; it answers to Gehenna of the Jews

to thrust down to Tartarus, to hold captive in Tartarus

Takeaway: Is Satan the angel with the key to the bottomless pit? Is he using CERN as the portal to unlock the abyss to release its inhabitants (dark matter) on the world?
