NOTE: This episode was recorded prior to the announcement of Berserk author Kentaro Miura’s passing. This will be discussed in the next episode.
Well, it’s not like the explosion of the big blue Death Star wasn’t totally inevitable. It was, it is, and we’re pretty humdrum over its lasting ramifications, be it with projects being mishandled, jobs being lost, how Crunchyroll was the first to be sold off for parts, or a large combination of all three and then some. But at least Crunchyroll is making some big moves that came out of nowhere, and that’s leaving some of us much more excited than the rest, and we’ll be getting into all of that in this show, along with the usual Netflix shenanigans, some upcoming home video releases, a tale of leaks of different varieties, why the band ALI may not be around for a while, the latest in the Russian court case against anime titles, along with a brief look at the One Piece global popularity poll and why Carrot and Yamato deserve to be Straw Hats. Because they totally do.
