The physical trauma that Jesus endured was immense. Considering that Jesus endured all of that pain to save humanity, our response should be gratitude and awe at such a demonstration of selfless love. This episode is difficult to listen to as we get into the physical details of Jesus death. Although it is difficult, it is necessary for us to commemorate and gaze upon the death of Christ. It was at His death that our life was secured.

Don't rush to Sunday in order to get to the happy ending. Feel the weight of Friday.
