Shari Bayer is joined in the studio by Herb Karlitz, who turned a career in marketing into the creation of the celebrity chef. Karlitz cut his teeth at public relations firm Burson-Marsteller, where he worked with the likes of Frank Sinatra, The Beach Boys and Stevie Wonder.

He launched his own firm, Karlitz & Company, in 1990, in order to help bring good times, amazing food, and maybe a guest chef to corporate events.

And starting tomorrow, Harlem EatUp! will give visitors to the neighborhood and Morningside Park the chance to enjoy food, drink, and music.
