From November 24th to December 11th, 2018, an exhibition of street photography by Peter Shkrabov and Alexei Kondart will be held in the exhibition hall of the Primorsky Regional Center of Folk Culture.
The entrance is free.
The opening will take place on November 24 at 1 pm
Street photography (street photography) is a genre of photography taken in a public place: on the street, in the park, on the beach, etc.
The exhibition brings together two different views of street photographers on the Primorye cities.
First glance suggests Alexey Kondart. The author comes from Kaliningrad, arrived in Vladivostok just four years ago, and takes pictures of the everyday life of the Vladivostok every day. His pictures are filled with wonder and curiosity of a man who sees a lot here for the first time. His “tourist” view of the life of the city is reflected in the Vladivostok Street Photography photo project, which has existed in the Internet space for several years. The exhibition will include 30 selected photos of this photo project.
A different view is the documentary project of the Ussuri photographer Peter Shkrabov about the other side of the cities life “City without embellishment”. Peter has been working on the project since 2016. His goal is to draw people's attention to social problems that we used to ignore: destruction, poverty, social contrasts, etc. According to the author, it is necessary to do this in order to take off the rose-colored glasses, see the city for others, think about what is happening around or even try to change something for the better.
The exhibition will run until December 11, from 10 am to 6 pm, seven days a week.
