Welcome to Daily Growth Point, I’m Pastor John Bingham.
Have you ever thought about the connection between grace and Christmas? Commercialized Christmas is all about lights, parties, presents, and people and has little time or energy to apply towards the connection Christmas has with grace. But the original Christmas was about the grace of God being shown to mankind.
2 Corinthians 8:9, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”
The reality that Christ would leave heaven to redeem us from the penalty of our sins is a beautiful picture of Grace. It reminds us that Christmas is all about God’s grace. Without the Birth of the world’s Saviour, there would be no grace that could be extended to us at all. Thus, as we celebrate Christmas, we are celebrating the matchless grace of God.
