Today we’re diving into something controversial.
Something I’ve lived. Something I’ve earned the right to speak on.
The body positivity movement got hijacked. And it’s time we talk about it.
Let’s rewind for a second...
The original intention behind body positivity?
It was about inclusion.
It was about dignity.
It was about self-love for people who had been shamed, excluded, and made to feel like shit about their bodies their whole lives.
And as someone who used to be morbidly obese, let me tell you—I know how powerful that message was.
But somewhere along the line…
That message got twisted.
It stopped being about healing…And turned into justifying.
