"I hold stress in my upper traps" was one of my personality traits for a long time. While I'm not proud of that, it was my reality. What I failed to understand was that I wasn't special- we all carry stress in our necks as a normal physiological response to threat- and that there are more things that can be done to feel better (beyond just 'reducing stress').
